Fuzzy, where you wearing shorts?   This is the Canadian way..wear shorts all year round, especially when outside BBQing in a blizzard!! It must be that British blood in your veins, which is related to Canadian blood, in an off hand kinda way Smiley

After all that snow and crap..now they are saying it might rain on the weekend!  Maybe freezing rain because of how cold it has been.  If it is going to be freezing rain, at least let my power go out so I can pretend to camp out with my new gas stove and my generator that has been used for maybe 10 minutes in the 10 years I've had it!!!

Fuzzy..save that recipe for a rainy day when you think you have lost enough weight Smiley  Pam...my Radiologist already told me about the sunburn and the tiredness....so I am prepared for all that.  He told me I will probably want to come home and have a nap after treatments and go to bed earlier also.  There is a cream they will give me to apply before and after treatments, and told me to tell them of any discomfort, as they have things for any problem I encounter.  The hormone therapy is Letrozole, also called Femara,  and yes, it is an estrogen inhibitor.  As my cancer is fed by estrogen, how my Dr explained it...it will be starving the cancer, so it won't be able to grow and reproduce. There are lots of side effects, and I hope I don't get any of them;)   Thank you all for your concern....it's very comforting to have the support of my friends:)

Here is my top secret recipe for the best Italian bread you ever tasted!

Crusty Italian Bread

1 1/4 c warm water
1 1/2 tbsp grapeseed or olive oil
2 c bread flour
1 cup durum semolina
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pack or 2 1/2 tsp yeast
Put everything in bread machine in order listed and put on dough setting. When it's finished, punch down and roll into ball, oil and put in large bowl and let rise 1 hr.  Knead again briefly, cut into 3 pieces, lengthwise, braid together and lay on upside down baking sheet that has been sprinkled with corn meal, cover with oiled saran wrap and let rise for 40 min.  Preheat oven to 400, put a pan filled with water on the floor of your oven.  Take saran off loaf, and put baking sheet in oven, spray with water and
close oven.  Spray again in 5 min...and again in 5 more min.  Turn oven down to 325 and bake about 30 more min, until nice and brown and sounds hollow when thumped.
The spraying with water, and having water in the oven allows loaf to keep rising slowly and letting the crust cook slowly so it gets nice and crusty Smiley Enjoy!

JUMPING FOR JOY!!!!!  My new Oncologist called me ....the genome test has finally come back from California!!!  I will NOT have to have Chemo!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am more than ready for Radiation and hormone therapy!!!!!!!!!!  My Radiologist's nurse will be calling me with an appointment to get tattooed and mapped and I will get the prescription for my hormone therapy when I go that day!!

When Dr. Giesbrecht called...I had 2 loaves of the Perfect Italian bread in the oven, almost ready to take out.  I was watching them as I talked to her.  She asked how my day was going....I told her Great...I'm baking bread!  She told me that was also her passion.  She told me the wonderful results, and what was going to happen next....and then she asked me for the recipe for my Italian bread!!  Can you all see why this Dr is SO MY DR??  I LOVE her!

LMAO!!! now that is just too funny!  We had our ducts cleaned the other day, and my scaredy cat Kitty..Leah escaped from the bedroom and ran down to the basement and crawled under a plank that was 2 inches off the floor.  Her butt couldn't fit under the plank, and as I was trying to gingerly extract her from the predicament she had gotten herself into, that's exactly what her face looked like!

Maybe you need to take some Vit D to outwit the winter doldrums?  I prescribe 4000mg to you per day Fuzzy.  Take them and call me in the morning;)  Seriously.....my Dr told me to take that to counter effect the shorter days in the winter.   I hope you start to feel better!

I also love the dreamy quality of watercolours!  The almost misty look that paint gives. I also love the ultra realistic look that some artists can accomplish with acrylics.....depends on my mood Wink  Beautiful work Pam!
