Oh my, oh goodness me, you're not gonna believe what happened yesterday.
I was lying by the window waiting for passers by. Instead of barking I've started heavy breathing, so now I'm this creepy heavy-breather by the window. Then I heard the mail man. He stuffed some paper through the slot and I jumped up to bark at him. I always do...even though I know who he is, I still bark.
But wait, there's something different in the pile of papers. Immediately I identify the smell of meat...fat...grizzle...tendon...cooked to perfection. This has to be for ME!! I can't read, but I was very sure this package was for me and me alone.
So I laid on the package and kept it safe. I laid there for about an hour until Brett-man came downstairs (he spends a lot of time clicking on the plastic thing on the desk). The package was safely between my front paws, with my head resting on it. Oh the smell, the aroma...It was heaven wrapped in paper! Brett picked up the mail and noticed I was guarding something. He took it from me
When my Lady came home he handed her the package. "It's for Watson", he said. She laughed and showed me the package. "It's from Fuzzy!!! I bet he sent you something to eat!". She opened it and the smell poured out and down around me. Warm and greasy. Now she was really laughing. "I can't believe he sent you REAL bones!!" She gave me one and man oh man, it WAS a real bone! Smelling a bit strong, but still very good. I think she took a picture of me, but I was too busy chewing on the bone to pose.
I only got to chew for a few minutes before she took the bones back. "Too sharp", she said. I don't get it. A bone's a bone, right? Anyway, I got the best flavor from them before they went into the trash.
Thank you Fuzzy, for thinking of me. You brought surprises and laughter and delicious fun to our house!!!!
