look closely and you'll see the alligator swimming away.

I have no idea what this plant that wrapped itself around the tree is. I named it The Medusa plant.

My neighbor loves to fish.

Oh my......I don't think I would like having them (gators) in my backyard.  I'll bet they are fascinating to watch though.

They really don't bother with people Ruth, unless some misguided soul starts feeding them, then they lose their fear of people and have been known to attack.

OTH they do love dogs so we have to take care not to let our Dachshunds get too close.

Cool pics Mr Werner. I like the name you gave that twining plant... It suits it. Tell ya what, your neighbour that likes fishing.... Looks like he likes eating as well, or is it a medical problem? The alligators are something else though, I'm with Ruth on this as I'd feel like I needed eyes in the back of my head before heading out to the back garden.

I thought that I had replied to this post already. I know I've read it 20 times! I love your back garden and the water! I'd be nervous living close to an animal that could take your foot off, but I guess you learn to watch where you walk.

What is that beautiful tropical next to the house? Is it banana or palm or something else?

I suppose living with Gators is like living with bears or rattlesnakes around where I grew up, you always made sure it was the hose you were picking up and not a snake..  Smiley ....  And that vine is pretty neat looking... We lived on the river growing up, fishing and swimming were a past time...
