Beautiful looking place. The basalt columns bring to mind the Devil's Causeway in Northern Ireland, also, somewhere in the back of my mind I can recall seeing buildings made of those types of columns on some island in the Pacific. Apparently the natives cut the columns out and used them log cabin style to erect structures.

If going anywhere these days involves travelling by plane it's not somewhere I want to go. At one time flying was a pleasure, but these days it's far from it. Angry

You're spot on Fuzzy.

It has turned from a pleasurable experience one looks forward to to a Cattle Car disaster with rude passengers and flight crew, screaming children, cramped seating, stinking bathrooms and crappy food. Not to mention being charged for everything. If one can afford it 1st class seems to be a little better or Airlines such as Nippon still believe in customer service.

After what just happened during the World Cup I'm not so sure people from Germany would be that welcome anymore. Roll Eyes Grin

Yeah I agree 7 goals seems excessive. but the Germans did leave them their training camp and other assorted buildings built by them.

I've been wanting to see Yellowstone and Yosemite too....I understand things are getting hot out there though, and they are having to close off some of the park, because the steam and gases are too dangerous.   I'm afraid it will change so much before I get a chance to get out there.

There's so many places I wanted to see in America from Washington DC to the Rockies and the Grand Canyon, the painted desert, Nashville, New Orleans during Mardi Gras, the petrified forest, the wide open spaces in the mid west and on and on and on.

Unfortunately Dez is virtually house bound with a number of problems and the furthest we get these days is a local city about thirty miles away.
