I read the latest Dilbert strip each day at www.dilbert.com  The creator and artist of Dilbert is Scott Adams.  He also writes a blog that appears below the latest strip.  The blog I read today is titled:  "Should Twitter and Facebook be Regulated as Utilities?"  It is an interesting tale of censorship of his accounts as well as his girl friends.  If factual, it speaks to (in my opinion) a trend by the "media" to control people's actions.

Now the above may not be worded to mean exactly what I want it to, but with any luck I am making some sense.

I suppose it depends on what "regulated as utilities" means. If as you seem to suggest it would mean that certain views not in keeping with rules as laid down by some regulatory agency I think both entities would cease to be as well used as they are today. On the other hand there is already a form of censorship on both Twitter and Facebook, albeit minor and slightly left leaning which doesn't seem to put people off using either of them.... Yet.
