Hi girls.. Friday was day 12/21 for radiation. I am on the down-side!!!!! My poor boobie is bright red with radiation burns and not too much energy left to post when I get home. I can't believe how much more sleep I have been needing! Started the hormone therapy a week ago tomorrow, so far so good, no side effects! The pharmacist told me it is very harsh on the stomach, but I haven't had that problem. Have found that aloe vera gel and coconut oil are helping with the burns and scarring so everything is good! Had a few nightmare episodes with the Cancer Society drivers, but I'm alive and fighting...that's all that counts!

I will be so God Damned GLAD when this is all over 4 more treatments this week..then the weekend off...then 4 more next week.....then DONE!!! I can do this!!!!! I cried to my DH this morning that I didn't want to go.. my burns are bad already, and by Friday I can just imagine. He just kicked my butt out the door when the Cancer Society driver pulled into the driveway....Already I am trying to think of things to be able to call and cancel for Friday, but then this will just make it 5 days next week, and I don't want that! Sucking it up.

I can't believe how much more sleep I have been needing! Dez had the same problem when she was going through her treatment, but it'll come good in the end. Keep up the fight gal, Ruth is right, a positive attitude can go some way.

So you say! Biting the Bullet here and doing everything to get through this. Sleeping a lot, praying a lot. Thinking about spring and my new skin! Crazy ideas....thought of how I could make pickle juice without cucumbers.....watch the snow keep falling on this white world. Wishing for spring.....so I can see my fish again. Doing everything I can to get through the next few weeks without going stark, raving Mad!

Hugs and thanks. I ended up going up way north Ontario to my friend's island in the middle of no-where. No phones or technology, just nature to recharge my batteries! Now planning my trip to Toronto at the beginning of Sept for TOronto International Film Festival or TIFF as we call it here. We are seeing 2 movies? I picked The Drop as my first choice. James Gandolfini's last movie....now my friend is under pressure to pick our second flick! We are having an email blast going back and forth over the second choice!
